Mill Creek Park and Lake


The Mill Creek Cabins are great for the outdoor enthusiast and families alike. Open year round with an abundance of outdoor opportunities in the area to enjoy, we can meet your needs for the weekend, week or even a month! When you stay with us you can reserve your cabin for the same time next season before you leave. It’s an easy way to continue a family and friend gathering tradition that will build memories and stories of the one that got away! If you need a quick get away, call the office for current specials on available cabins, we will be glad to help you out.

Mill Creek Park has seven cabin units available for daily or weekly rental. Six of these units are completely furnished with the exception of linens. The seventh unit has beds, table and chairs, small refrigerator, microwave, heat and air conditioning, but no water in it. See below for more information on the Hickory Cabin. The old and new cabins are located on the southeast side of the lake, near the dam.

Six of the cabin units have a kitchen, stove, pots, dishes, refrigerator, etc. All units have charcoal grills. All units also have air conditioning. No linens are provided with any of the units. Courtesy docking is available for the Old and New cabins and is located near the units.

Mill Creek Park has 4 shelters available for reservation. These shelters are equipped with a grill and picnic tables.  These shelters are open to the public free of charge on a first come first serve basis on days that they are not reserved in advance. 

A shelter fee of $10.00 is required to reserve any shelter, $20 for a shelter with electric, and must be paid when reservation is made. Any large personal event tents to be placed on park property will require a Park Supervisory Fee of $50.00 to be paid to Mill Creek Park and must be scheduled 7 days in advance of the reservation. Please call the gatehouse or Park office to reserve a shelter for your special occasion.

About Us

Mill Creek Park is located 7 miles Northwest of Marshall, IL on the Lincoln Heritage Trail Road (Clarksville Road). Mill Creek Park opened May 29, 1982 and consists of 2,600 acres of land, with 811 acres of water. Our Mission is to "manage and preserve the natural resources and provide health and recreational opportunities".
